FRIENDS OF BROOMFIELD SCHOOL

The Friends of Broomfield School is a group of parent volunteers whose primary aim is to promote and support belonging within the Broomfield School Community. FoBS activities include both social events and fund-raising and it has recently become a member of the NZPTA. Friends of Broomfield School held its inaugural AGM Tuesday 10 May 2011. FoBS was formed nearly 2 years ago and since inception we have raised approximately $15,500 spending $1,638 on library books, $393 on new outdoor benches, $540 on digital cameras, $380 for ukuleles, $682 for Maths games. FoBS contributed travel vouchers and raffle proceeds to school camp 2010, $1400 to school camp in 2009 and $2073 was spent on school swim weeks in 2010. In 2011 FoBS are providing numeracy kits, headphones, swimming lessons and Scholastic Standing order books totalling $4495.

FoBS are also heavily involved in the Broomfield School Gala on Sunday 27 November 2011.

All parents are welcome to be part of FoBS with the next meeting to be held on Tuesday 13 December 2011 at 7:00pm in the school staff room or contact the school for contact details of Friends of Broomfield School committee.
